Year 2A Teacher
Bachelor of Education with English from St. Patrick’s College, Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland.
After graduating from St. Patrick’s College in Dublin, I spent one year in Ireland teaching a Junior Infant class in County Mayo. After this, I moved to London where I taught in a one form entry school in Mayfair for 2 years. Following this I moved to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, where I have been teaching for the last two years in a UK curriculum school in Jumeirah Village Triangle. I am looking forward to moving to Brazil and furthering my teaching experience in The British School of Brasilia. I have always enjoyed teaching the lower key stages and believe that a child learns best when they feel happy and safe. I believe that play is at the centre of learning and incorporate the use of a real-life context to lessons to ensure all children are engaged, excited and motivated about their own learning. In my spare time I love to read and relax in the sunshine while listening to music. I enjoy running and Gaelic football. I have recently purchased a new camera and have enjoyed experimenting with this while travelling. I am passionate about travelling and exploring different countries and cultures. I am very excited to see Brazil and South America as it is a part of the world I have not yet explored.
