International Day 2023

On 1st April, BSB hosted its annual International Day!

We welcomed representatives from 5 different continents and over 13 different countries. There was a huge variety of foods to try from açai, shortbread, tortilla and waffles to egg rolls, traditional Easter cake and even caterpillars! There were games and activities to take part in from different cultures including origami, calligraphy and archery. There was even a challenging geography quiz to test your knowledge of the world! However, the highlight of the event was definitely the performances and presentations we had. Our very own Ms Defor led the students in a recorder performance of a traditional Brazilian song. We were treated to an incredible Japanese drumming performance and a daring Kendo martial arts presentation. We also received a very special treat from a Brazilian dance troupe who travelled all the way from the northern regions of Brazil to share more Brazilian culture with us.
