Year 2 Teacher
BA with Hons in Education and Childhood studies PGCE in Primary with specialising in Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2
During my training, I was lucky enough to experience two good, yet contrasting schools in Year 2 and Year 3 class. I enjoyed my schools and particularly enjoyed the different challenges within these classrooms, working closely with students and their parents to help them achieve their best, no matter what that may have been. I took a role as a Class Teacher in a mixed year group class in which I had students from both Year 1 and Year 2. I worked closely with the SENCO and behaviour team during this time to suit the needs of my class. I am very excited to continue to develop my skills and that of my class here in Brasilia. I have spent my summers working in America at a summer camp and from this, I developed my interest in SEN and different strategies to support children. This is my first time teaching abroad so I am very excited to continue my travelling adventures. Working with children brings me great joy, no day is the same and they always make me laugh or teach me something new, I am so lucky to get to meet so many brilliant children and their families. I thoroughly enjoy gymnastics and cheerleading and am on the lookout for a gym here in Brasilia. I am a lover of books and baking so spend lots of my time looking up new recipes. I enjoy walking, running, exploring new places and spending time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to seeing the children surprise themselves and seeing what the rest of this year holds.
