Book Week 2021

From Monday, March 1st 2021, to Friday, 5th of March 2021, we celebrated book week at The British School of Brasilia (BSB). In a last minute turn of events, students were working at home via technology during this time, but that did not stop them from jumping in to a week of great activities with both feet. Students from every year group took part in challenges based around certain books, authors or collections of work. These challenges covered all areas of the curriculum and were not limited solely to the English subject, with Art, Science and even Maths work being given a literary makeover.

While the activities in each year group varied greatly based on their source material, every student was prompted to spend the week decorating a door in their house to theme it around the chosen book of their class.

During the Friday sessions, students attended the GoogleMeet class in full literary themed costumes! They looked fantastic! So fantastic in fact, that we had to do it again on the following Friday when we were all back in the school building!
