Fascinating Science Lab Lesson in Year 11

Biology lesson in Science Lab about transport in mammals.
Thursday, December 7, 2023

During a Biology topic, Transport in Mammals, the Year 11 students looked at the different structures in the heart and how blood flows through them. This led them to having the opportunity to dissect real pig hearts, putting theory learnt in class into practical application in the school laboratory. The students were able to visually see the different parts of the heart and apply their knowledge in a more direct manner. During the dissection, many interesting questions were asked but also a lot of educational understanding was achieved.
