Visit to the Botanical Gardens 2016
Year 1 students have been on a trip to the Botanical Gardens in Brasilia, as part of their Science Topic on plants.

The children had a fun day out exploring and discussing all the plants from different places around the world.
We also spotted some Koi Carp in the Japanese pond garden and lots of lizards and insects in the undergrowth. The children saw this as an opportunity to get out their exploration tools and equipment - they used magnifiers, tweezers and mini-beast jars to collect and study samples of fauna and insects.
We heard lots of different animal sounds all day and saw many different bird species (we kept an eye out for pesky monkeys but they were all hiding). Everyone, including the teachers, had an enjoyable day out in the wild.
