I am a passionate and creative Primary practitioner with experience across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 of the National Curriculum in England. Most recently, I was working at a large three form entry school in Beckenham, Kent, where I was able to lead, at different times, a range of curricular areas, including: Physical Education (PE), Computing, Science and most recently PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education). I am married to a Brazilian national and am delighted to have the opportunity to be able to live and work in Brazil. During my time in Primary Education in the United Kingdom, I have worked with wonderful colleagues in Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and this has given me an invaluable understanding of where children are on their learning journey when I receive them, and where they need to be before they leave my care. A privilege of working in Education is that I am always learning something new, and I am delighted to be able to continue this with the dedicated team at The British School of Brasilia. I love to travel whenever I can and have been fortunate to be able to visit countries in Europe, North America and Oceania. A simple local walk is also a great way to discover something new about people and places. I enjoy a range of sports, such as football, swimming, squash, skiing and scuba diving. I have a fascination with literature, and storytelling in general, and cherish any moments that I can find to either read a book or have a go at creative writing. Food, music and dance (and the arts in general) are also pastimes that I greatly enjoy. But simply being with family and friends brings me the greatest happiness.
