Year 3 Trip to GeoSciences Museum 2019

Year 3 had a fantastic day at the GeoSciences Museum. They had a guided tour, which taught them loads about sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks. They saw and touched gemstones and crystals and learned all about their formations and origins. They looked at real fossils and minerals, learning about the animals that lived long ago. They even explored an imaginary cave, observing stalactites and stalagmites. They also admired some cave paintings... even though they all agreed they were not nearly as good as Year 3's cave paintings!
