Before the Christmas holidays, The British School of Brasilia (BSB) ran a very special English competition to inspire the wonderful writers in our school. Key Stage 1 and 2 were asked to celebrate the festive season by sharing a poem with the school. Children from Year 1 to 5 shared their creativity in a 12 line (for the 12 days of Christmas) poem. It was lovely to hear about the different ways that Christmas magic is shared within our community.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who entered the BSB Christmas poetry competition. The teachers were amazed by the standard of entries and we thoroughly enjoyed reading them all. You made us feel incredibly festive in the run up to Christmas!
As you can imagine, it was extremely difficult to pick a winner from each Key Stage. The winning poem in Key Stage 1 was creative and witty. A big congratulations to Fred Costa! Our Key Stage 2 poem was well written and captured the spirit of Christmas. Well done, Felipe Ribeiro!
