Book Week 2019
Book Week 2019.
Friday, March 15, 2019
Once again, Book Week at The British School of Brasilia (BSB) was a hugely exciting and successful event bringing readers of all ages together to celebrate literature of varying genres and styles. Older pupils read to younger peers, classroom doors were intricately decorated according to each class’ chosen focus text and a tiger joined our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) children for tea!
Pupils participated in a wide variety of activities throughout the week including writing their own shared stories, dramatising scenes, getting caught reading, scavenger hunts and meeting published authors Kate Woodard and Paulo Almeida.
For the final day of Book Week, pupils and staff were encouraged to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. Everyone looked absolutely fantastic and represented a range of fiction from around the world.
