Explaining Extended Curriculum

Explaining Extended Curriculum.
Wednesday, December 1, 2021
At The British School of Brasilia (BSB) we offer the Extended Curriculum (EC) for students from Primary and Secondary. In EC, pupils will select from a range of projects based modules designed to offer a broad and rich curriculum experience.

Research shows that autonomy in the children's learning process is really beneficial and important if we want them to be decision makers, risk takers and well rounded individuals, which is what our school develop in our students with the Extended Curriculum.

EC is designed to identify and extend the passions and interests of our student body, where they can choose among 4 strands, which are:

1) Enterprise
2) Knowledge and Understanding
3) Creating and Performing
4) Sports, Health and Wellness

Pupils can take lessons with other Year Groups which increase their bonding with other students, creating a friendlier environment regarding school relationships.
