Position:
Teacher/Mentor Year 2A
Qualifications:
- BA Honours (Bachelor of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences) Primary Education with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) awarded by the University of the West of England.
Pursuing my Master's in Education with a specialisation in EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners and Phonics at the University of the West of England, I have acquired a wealth of experience throughout my career. I have had the privilege of teaching across Key Stages 1 and 2, both within England and internationally, including assignments in France, Ukraine, and Australia.
My instructional background encompasses diverse settings, providing me with extensive exposure to teaching children with English as an Additional Language and those with additional educational needs. This exposure has contributed to the development of a comprehensive understanding of contemporary teaching methodologies and styles.
Adopting a holistic approach in my practice, I take pleasure in fully engaging my students in their learning, fostering an environment that encourages them to embrace new experiences as they progress on their educational journeys. Since 2022, I have been a part of The British School of Brasilia, contributing to its educational ethos.
Beyond the realm of education, I am an avid knitter and reader, finding joy in creative pursuits and embracing the exploration of new activities. My passion for language extends to my proficiency in French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Furthermore, I value outdoor activities and dedicate my weekends to longboarding, walking, or paddleboarding.
