BA Honors in Primary Education from St Mary’s University in London CPD training in Read Write Inc. phonics, CLPE Power of Reading and Oxford Owl Maths Makes Sense
I studied Primary Education at St Mary’s University in Twickenham, London and came away with a degree and Qualified Teacher Status 6 years ago. Since then, I taught Year 2 in London for two years before moving to Guangzhou in China to teach Year 1 for three years. During my time in China, I played an integral role in designing and introducing a completely new Year 1 campus building and developing the curriculum along with my team, evolving the way in which the children transition from Early Years into the primary school. I am big on inclusive education, ensuring pupils are learning in ways that work for them. I have a passion for the performing arts! I taught myself to play the guitar and am a creative person (and teacher!). I thoroughly enjoy being outside with nature and have travelled much of Asia, Europe and South America. I like to go hiking or do some form of exercise in my free time. But most of all, I love animals, especially dogs, and always look forward to dog walks with my Dad when I am at home. I am excited to try some local Brazillian food and immerse myself in the vibrant, Brazillian culture!
