During my time in further education, I gained a wealth of experience volunteering within schools and holiday camps. I worked as a teaching assistant at a special needs school in Manchester, before completing my teacher training in Liverpool. I currently work at a secondary school in West London, where I have worked as a Physical Education teacher for three years. During this time, I have also held the post of 2ic of Inclusion and Head of Year 11. I am now excited to further develop my teaching practice, whilst enhancing the Physical Education offering at The British School of Brasilia. In my spare time, I enjoy spectating and participating in sport and physical activity. Whilst growing up, I was a keen boxer and rugby player. I now currently play for a football team; I will be looking for a local team to join in Brasilia! When not working I enjoy cycling, hiking and skiing; all of which I intend to continue when moving to South America. I am excited to experience the Brazilian culture, specifically trying new foods, visiting new places and learning a new language.
