The British International School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL) was the first new British school to open in the Malaysian capital in over 50 years when it opened its doors in 2009. Within a few years it established itself as the leading school in the city.

BSKL was the first school in Malaysia to be graded as excellent in all areas of educational provision by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. It was also the first school in Asia to receive the COBIS Patron’s Accreditation. Examination results obtained by BSKL students are comparable to those of the top independent schools in the UK.

BSKL has three visually arresting campuses - Lower, Junior and Secondary - with world class facilities that include a 9-a-side fully covered football pitch field, three indoor sport halls, two swimming pools, two full-size football fields and a fully equipped 650-seat theatre.

The school is now a part of Nord Anglia Education.
